Pad Thai is one of the most popular noodle dishes in the world. This delicacy was believed to keep the Thai economy strong. Follow this guide to make Pad Thai Chicken noodles.
Ingredients
Rice Noodles (250 g) (Flat)
Chicken breasts, chopped into bits, 100 g
1 sliced onion
2 julienned carrots
1 sliced red bell pepper
1 sliced yellow bell pepper
1 sliced green bell pepper
4 garlic cloves, chopped
1 inch chopped ginger
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 tsp. of fish sauce
2 tbsp Red Chilli Sauce (Sweet and Spicy) (Tomato Chilli Sauce)
2 tsp. brown sugar (Demerara Sugar)
2 tsp. Peanut Butter
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 cup crushed roasted
3 tbsp Chipotle Flakes
Salt as per tast
Method
- Boil water for the noodles in a sauce pan
- Cook the Pad Thai Rice Noodles in the boiling water until soft and cooked. Drain the water and rinse the noodles under running water to stop further cooking
- Set aside the rice noodles with a teaspoon of oil
- Add ginger and garlic to a hot wok with oil and let it sizzle for a few seconds. Then add your sliced onions and sauté until transparent
- Sauté chopped carrots for 2 minutes, then add coloured bell peppers and sauté until all veggies are cooked
- Add the chicken breast, season with salt, cover the pan and simmer on medium heat until done. 4–5 minutes on medium heat
- Whisk together soy sauce, fish sauce, peanut butter, sweet and hot chilli sauce, brown sugar, and salt. Toss the chicken and vegetables in the pad Thai sauce mixture for approximately a minute
- Mix in the cooked rice noodles to the Chicken Pad Thai Noodles
- Toss the Chicken Pad Thai Noodles for 2–3 minutes over high heat to coat the noodles and chicken with the sauces
- Recheck the seasoning and add more sauces if needed. Turn off the heat
- Serve hot Chicken Pad Thai Noodles with crushed peanuts and dried red chilli flakes
